General Terán
NL's citrus capital. Hacienda Guadalupe, orange blossom groves (azahar), and mountain honey.
General Terán is the orange capital of Nuevo León — producing over 60% of the state's citrus. Its landscape is a sea of orange, mandarin, and lemon groves that in spring (February-March) blanket the town in the scent of azahar. The historic center preserves 19th-century mansions of citrus merchants, the parish of San Pablo Apóstol, and the agro-industrial museum. The annual orange fair in November is the largest of its kind in the country and attracts buyers from across North America.
