Where is Alexis & the Sanity - Summer Music Series in the Lounge?

Wednesdays at 7 PM, the vibrant sounds of New Orleans come alive as the city's favorite musicians gather to bring music to the New Orleans Jazz & Blues Market's Summer Music Series in the Lounge. This weekly event is a celebration of the rich musical heritage that defines New Orleans, featuring a dynamic mix of jazz, blues, and other regional sounds. Alexis & the Sanity, a pop duo from New Orleans, LA, were formally christened in Spring 2023 when their debut single "Hind Legs" was released online. The band's sound marries gritty samples, moody synthesizers, string flourishes, and the powerful soprano of front woman Alexis Marceaux. Marceaux and multi-instrumental producer Sam Craft have spent the last decade writing and touring. Alexis & the Sanity is their latest incarnation. According to Alexis, "We're finally making the music we've always wanted to make. This is the culmination of a lot of experimentation and we couldn't be prouder of the sounds we're creating." The strength of Marceaux and Craft's successes (including appearances on NCIS, Tremé, and inclusion in numerous other TV shows and movies) have won the pair weekly residencies and invitations to large festival stages. Alexis & the Sanity's début LP 'Tongue Tied' found a limited release on January 23, 2025 followed by a general unveiling on February 4.
