Visions Presents: Join Jay Moussa-Mann for a special live launch of her new album The Lady Vanishes. Praised by BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson as “genre-defying,” her recent track featured on Fresh Faves, Jay blends cinematic folk, alternative pop and intimate storytelling, drawing on themes of identity, belonging and new beginnings. Inspired in part by the women’s rights movements of the 1970s and paralleled with Jay’s own experiences growing up between cultures, The Lady Vanishes is filled with vibrant character-driven stories: from the divorcee in 1974 buying a house in the Hamptons with her newfound independence, to summer camps and teen romance, to inequality in the workplace and Mediteranean nights of self-discovery, all wrapped in hook-led songs. For this special headline performance, Jay will be accompanied by Stockton-born actor-musician Izzy Neish (Blue Jean, The National, Liverpool Royal Court), whose multi-instrumental performance brings an additional theatrical and cinematic dimension to the live show. This one-off launch night celebrates the release of the album with specially arranged acoustic performances of songs from The Lady Vanishes, alongside carefully selected support artists.
